may 16 visit with dad

Dad was better today. Was more alert than yesterday. Speech was slurred but better after he dranked a whole chocholate milkshake with whip cream from Hardees. Both me and my Godmother, Dot Dickinson took him food. I will be sitting with my dad on Saturday morning to give BArbara a break. When I hugged my dad with both arms and said dad i will be coming back on Sat. to stay five hours with you he had the sweetest smile on his face.

Lunch with dad on 5/15/2012

Daddy ate chicken nuggets, biscuit with jelly, watermelon, dirty rice, and coke. Almost like a buffet.
He liked the watermelon the most.  That was Barbara's doings.  Great idea.

Not himself due to the meds.  But that is to be expected.  Headaches are worse.  But he still knows who I am.

Dad's Status - Tues., May 15th

Seems, his pain has increased.  Sister, Barbara has increased his medicine for him comfort.  Still eating well but sleeping more.  Visiting him during lunch today.  Taking him some Popeye's fried chicken and dirty rice. 

When selecting what I take to daddy for lunch,  I think what would I want to eat if I were about to pass and did not have to worry about calories and health problems.  So, today my taste buds take me to Popeye's Fried Chicken.

I am hoping to have a good visit with my dad.  The weather is just gorgous and I am hoping to get another snap shot with him.  Taking him a Chris' hotdog.  Also, taking him a beautiful magnolia flower.
